Tiffany & Co.

Tiffany & Co. paid a tribute to the art of interior design with a table setting show, "Entertaining by Design", with a setting created by prominent interior designer Jennifer Ziegler of Ziegler Designs, LLC. The environment reflects current trends in the field of interior design, as well as the personal taste and vision of the designer. Jennifer's design concept takes place on a tropical isle, lush with palm trees and ferns. Though more casual than haute cafes, her setting is every bit as elegant and layered in luxurious details. A brilliant floral pattern in French blue and coral covers the table set with blue and white Tiffany Nature and Tiffany Delft china. Rustic blends effortlessly with elegant in Jennifer's choices of a Tiffany "zig zag" tureen and cachepot. Russian-style cranberry globe chandelier, wicker trays and woven rush seats. Tiffany Nature scarves and Tiffany "classic" scented candles accent this festive luncheon celebrating a woman of great style.

Jennifer Ziegler, owner of Ziegler Designs LLC, takes a tour of The Remington Rand building . By the middle of next month demolition crews will begin gutting much of the former downtown factory, one of the first visible steps in creating a mixed-use development including work/live loft spaces on the Erie Canal, developers said Thursday.

Under a bright spring sun outside former Remington Rand building, elected leaders and business representatives gathered to mark the ceremonial ground-breaking for the redevelopment project a few years in the making.

Dubbed the "Remington Lofts on the Canal", the facility will have 81 work/living lofts, along with a restaurant, hair salon, dry cleaner and fitness facility. The project's costs are now pegged at $20 million.
